Snow Blowers + Power Shovels

Both use a motor-driven auger to lift and throw snow. A corded electric snow shovel, like the 320E or 324E, plugs into an outlet with an extension cord and runs as long as it's plugged in. A cordless snow shovel runs on a rechargeable battery, so there's no cord to manage, and runtime depends on battery size.

Snow Joe power shovels cut 5" to 7" deep per pass, depending on the model (see the table). For deeper snow, skim the top layer first, then work down to the ground. For long driveways or heavy, deep storms, a snow blower is the better fit.

The X20 20V cordless snow shovel weighs 8.4 lbs with a single battery.

Yes, on the 24V IONMAX shovels (24V-SS10, SS11 and SS13 models). IONMAX batteries work across 150+ Snow Joe + Sun Joe tools. X20 shovels use 20V ECOSHARP batteries and aren't compatible with 24V IONMAX batteries or chargers.

It depends on the battery and snow conditions. The 24V-SS13-MAX lists up to 30 continuous minutes on a 4.0-Ah battery, and the 24V-SS11 lists up to 1,650 lbs of snow per charge. These figures are approximations. Kits with two or three batteries let you swap and keep going.

X20 20V shovels carry a 1-year warranty. 24V IONMAX shovels and the 324E carry a 2-year warranty, and the 24V-SS13-TV1 bundle includes a 3-year extended warranty. Check each product page for details.

Choose a power shovel for decks, steps, patios and sidewalks, where a light, compact tool is easiest to carry. Choose a snow blower for larger driveways and deeper snow, where a wider, deeper cut saves time.
